Area: 400 sq.ft units Project Type: Office Space Location: Gollahalli village, Chikkaballapur District, Karnataka
This project was developed as a CSEB and precast roof prototype to demonstrate cost-effective, climate-responsive construction techniques for small public buildings. Designed as a compact office space, the building explores material efficiency, daylighting, and thermal comfort within a minimal footprint.
The structure uses compressed stabilised earth blocks (CSEB) and a precast roofing system, with jaali openings along the western edge to allow diffused daylight and ventilation while responding to the site’s context.
Developed in collaboration with academic and local governance stakeholders, the project serves as a reference prototype for sustainable, low-cost construction in rural Karnataka.
