Usha has done her schooling in Delhi and is a graduate in Sociology from Miranda House, Delhi University. She started working in the development sector after diverse stints in mass media for ten years. Since nearly ten years, she is involved in “Namma “Muthuru” a development intervention at Muthur village & its surrounding panchayat area in Chikkaballapur District of Karnataka, in memory of Sanjoy Das Gupta, IAS, who used to be associated with the village. The work is chiefly in the domains of health, sanitation, environment and education, with a host of activities being done for and through the two govt. schools in the village. She is the founder of Gramaantara Trust, a rural development organization currently functioning in the district of Chikkaballapur.

Dr. S Raghunath is an expert in disaster resistant, earthquake resistant structures, renovation and conservation of old buildings. He has been a major source for all the structural innovations, inputs, knowledge and awareness, both within and outside our team. He is an integral part of Nivasa and is very generous in helping us with our projects in many ways. 

An Architect with a Post Graduate degree in Project Management from the University of Edinburgh. She has worked with some of the reputed Architectural firms in Bangalore handling large real estate projects  Subsequently,worked as part of the in-house design team with a Real estate developer. With industry experience in design, coordination and managing the design process, she presently works with Nivasa on the Construction Labour Communities program.

 Samit  is one of the Founders/Promoters of Chaitanya and an Executive Director at Chaitanya. Samit has a MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. Before Chaitanya, Samit has worked in Olam International Limited, a global leader in the supply chain management of agricultural products and food ingredients. Samit spent his initial five years in Africa and subsequently he setup Olam’s coffee operations in Brazil and led the business for four years as its country manager.  He has acquired significant experience in setting up systems and processes related to agricultural procurement, financing and trading.  He has been associated with Chaitanya since 2008 April.  Samit also led the Tech based lending Inititatives of Navi Technologies Private Ltd 

Mr. P.V. Maiya has had  a distinguished 32-year career with the State Bank of India and thereafter becoming the founding Executive Chairman of ICICI Bank .Until 1998 under his leadership, the bank pioneered innovations like internet banking and set new standards in service and technology. Afterward, he became the first Managing Director of Central Depository Services Ltd. (CDSL). He was later appointed by the Government of India as a Director on the Board of Indian Bank and served as a shareholder-elected Director of Canara Bank. Mr. Maiya serves as a director on and is actively involved in social initiatives as a Trustee of Brigade Foundation and the Indian Musical Experience Centre, and as President of the Yogakshema Trust.

Mr. S.R. Iyer was a former Managing Director of State Bank of India, one of India’s premier banking institutions. After retiring from SBI, Mr. Iyer was appointed as the First Executive Chairman of the Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL), a joint venture promoted by State Bank of India (SBI) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC). Mr. Iyer presently serves on the Boards of several companies as an Independent and Non-Executive Director. He is also a Member of the Investment Committee of National Dairy Development Board and Chairman of the Infrastructure Finance Credit Committee of Aditya Birla Finance Ltd. He has made important contributions to policy making in the Indian financial services sector through Working Groups and Committees appointed by RBI and the Govt. of India.

Mr Iyer had also been the Managing Director of State Bank of Mysore and Chairman of Canfin Homes Ltd.

Mr. Elangovan has been with the IT services industry for over 28 years, having worked with Infosys and was a Senior Vice President at iGate, managing North America, Global Banking and Financial Services, Advanced Technology Groups and Tech Training.

Elan was twice the recipient of Infosys Chairman’s award for excellence and iGate CEO award. He balances his professional career with volunteering for causes like those championed by YogaKshema, Lake rejuvenation (Whitefield Rising/Varthur lake) by bringing together citizens, scientists, govt agencies, corporates, media and all stakeholders, mental health (Banyan/Association for the mentally challenged) etc. Elan is an Alumnus of National Institute of Technology, Trichy.

 Jayashree has done her MCM(Computer Management) from Pune University. Jayashree is the CTO at Zinnea, a firm into software consulting. She was a Committee member at Association for Mentally Challenged (AMC) in Bangalore for 9 years.  Jayashree is the co-founder of Popmart.
